Loving Our Neighbour: Thanksgiving – Sacred Matter

Loving Our Neighbour: Thanksgiving – Sacred Matter

Sunday, October 7, 2018

Theme: Thanksgiving – Sacred Matter
Scripture: John 2:1–11
Liturgy: Rev. Beth Walker
Sunday Message: Rev. Beth Walker

In Jesus’ time weddings were known as drinking parties. Wine was the celebration drink: “No wine, no happiness.” Jesus accepted the invitation from a poor couple to remind us that he came to provide a life of abundance for everybody, not just some of us. At this time of Thanksgiving let us give thanks for abundance of the love of God found in our neighbour, our neighbourhood and in all of creation.
